Commercial Administrator – Perthshire

D.O.E (Circa £30k-37k)

An exciting opportunity has become available with one of our long standing clients based in the Perthshire area. This is an excellent opportunity to come join a forward thinking organisation who are going through a strong period of growth at the moment. KBM’s client is looking for an experienced Commercial Administrator to come join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Commercial Administrator you will be a key point of contact within the wider commercial team. You will quickly become a valuable asset to their growing organisation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. We are looking for a driven individual who has experience of working in a busy office environment. This would suit an individual who has a keen interest in Quantity Surveying or Estimating as full exposure to this area of construction will be available.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Commercial Director, Senior QS with project costs
  • Monthly sub-contractor payment costs
  • Produce payment certificates
  • Support the wider team with tracking costs of labour, materials and plant for projects
  • Take responsibility of pricing smaller projects
  • General admin support for the wider commercial team (costs, budgeting and forecasting)
  • Ensuring all admin is documented and filing in the correct manner
  • Produce BOQ (Bill of Quantities for projects)
  • Liaise with clients, new and existing

The key skills / experience / knowledge required:

  • Previous experience within a busy construction commercial team
  • Previous experience of pricing projects, knowledge of BOQ
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Driven individual who can work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Proactive individual who has great personable skills
