One of our clients in Aberdeenshire require an experienced Accountant to come join them on an 8 month Maternity cover. They required someone who has an extensive background within finance and has the ability to hit the ground running. My client’s finance department is busy and therefore someone who has worked in a similar environment is welcomed. Our client is looking for a candidate to work 3 days a week however, full time will be considered.

 

The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Prepare and present monthly management accounts which include the following:
    1. Trial balance
    2. Profit / loss statement
    3. Balance sheet
  2. Ensure accurate budgets and management accounts are produced in a timely manner
  3. Maintain monthly balance sheets reconciliations when required
  4. Ensure all day-to-day financial processing and coding within the core accounting ledgers are carried out effectively
  5. Prepare weekly cash-flows for management
  6. Forecast short & long-term cash flows
  7. Prepare and submit statutory returns in a timely manner and make associated payments when required
  8. Manage any external audit requirements and liaise with auditors when required
  9. Yearend audit file
  10. Revalue foreign currencies and account any discrepancies
  11. Any ad-hoc duties when required

 

Essential criteria include:

  1. Proficient in all areas of Sage 200
  2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar role
