The company are looking for an experienced Draughtsperson to join their Engineering Team. The key deliverable of the role is to issue engineering drawings to allow for accurate costings and manufacture.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Creation of detailed hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics suitable for manufacture
- Assist with the creation of detailed fabrication, machining and assembly drawings suitable for manufacture
- Creation of 2D layouts and sketches
- Creation of detailed 3D models and assemblies
- Generation of Bill of Materials and selection of suitable components
- Communication of design data to project delivery teams, external suppliers and clients as required
- Checking drawings and documents created by other team members
- Coordinate and consult others in the design team and project/manufacturing/SCM teams to resolve design or other problems
- To attend onsite surveys
- Championing ‘One Team MDL’ approach and acting as an MDL ambassador.
Ideally you will be –
- HNC/D qualified in appropriate design engineering subject or extensive relevant experience (Essential)
- Skilled with AutoDesk AutoCad
- Experienced with AutoDesk Vault
- Experienced with AutoDesk Inventor
- Able to demonstrate balance of technical and management experience at relevant level and position
- Able to demonstrate track record of implementing theory into practical content/context
- Highly knowledgeable in appropriate technical and industry standards, rules, and regulations
- Highly knowledgeable and skilled in all key design software (e.g. Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault)
- Familiar/ competent in all Microsoft packages including Outlook, Projects, Excel, Word & SharePoint
