We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with switchgear experience to join our client’s team in Aberdeen. This role is predominantly office based but may require some offshore work also.
The objective is to provide electrical technical support for Clients and the Operations team through working in an onshore support planning capacity and offshore execution capacity with a particular bias toward switchgear maintenance and testing work scopes. The role will also involve providing a technical overview of work scopes and estimate manpower and equipment requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strong experience and technical ability with high voltage systems, power generation, switchgear, and controls are essential.
• Plan and Execute Switchgear maintenance/testing/troubleshooting
• Provide Electrical Technical Support and advice to company personnel and clients.
• Prepare Scope of Works, Operational Test Procedures and review/amend Field Service Reports.
• Ensures all electrical work activities are carried out safely to a high standard under the permit to work system where applicable.
• Actively participate in company safety management system & competency management System.
• Involved in loading out of offshore equipment pre mobilisation,
• Assist in implementing any changes required to facilitate improvements to team efficiency.
• Provide in-house training and mentoring technicians.
• Assist in maintaining tooling and equipment offshore and onshore.
• Assist in coordinating and participating in the clean-up, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job.
• Offshore/Onshore work for clients and overseas work will be required
