An exciting opportunity has become available with one of KBM’s long standing construction clients. Our client is looking for an experienced Estimator who has previous experience within the roofing industry. This is a full-time, permanent position an excellent salary package is on offer for the right candidate. As the estimator you will be the first point of contact within our clients business, you will be working alongside new and existing clients within our clients network.
As the Estimator you will be resolving any queries regarding costs and ensure all projects are prices accurately and in an efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the roofing industry and have a proven track record of carrying out accurate estimates for large and small scale projects.
The key responsibilities include:
- Create and present quotations to clients
- Assist with any pre-qualification questionnaires
- Liaise with clients (new and existing)
- Work alongside other roofing team members and determine scope of works for estimating and tendering purposes
- Create and provide schedules of materials for delivery to enable works to be carried out
- Liaise with management to identify additional works not allowed for initial tenders
- Recover costs accordingly – project specific
The key skills / experience / skills required:
- A minimum of 4 years experience within the roofing industry within a similar position
- Previous knowledge and experience with all aspects of the roofing industry which includes cladding
- Previous experience of Ply / felt systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Previous experience within a similar role which includes providing excellent customer service
