Are you currently looking for your next short-term contract to see you over the summer? One of our clients based in Stirling is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to come join them on a short-term contract to cover some absence. This would ideally suit someone who is immediately available and has previous experience within a busy finance department.

The key purpose of this role is to ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, as a finance assistant you will be responsible for correctly inputting data and paying suppliers in a timely manner. You will also be a key point of contact within the finance department, therefore communication is key.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Process high volume of invoices
  • Processing credit notes, returns and price differences
  • Code any overhead and non stock invoices
  • Processing monthly BACS payments
  • Maintain and tidy ledgers when required
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Manage and resolve invoice queries
  • Credit card processing and reconciliation when required
  • Any ad-hoc duties required by finance manager

The key skills / knowledge / experience required:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Previous experience within a busy finance department
  • Previous experience in a similar role (Accounts Payable)
  • IT literate
  • Previous experience with ERP systems
