Are you currently looking for your next short-term contract to see you over the summer? One of our clients based in Stirling is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to come join them on a short-term contract to cover some absence. This would ideally suit someone who is immediately available and has previous experience within a busy finance department.
The key purpose of this role is to ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, as a finance assistant you will be responsible for correctly inputting data and paying suppliers in a timely manner. You will also be a key point of contact within the finance department, therefore communication is key.
The key responsibilities include:
- Process high volume of invoices
- Processing credit notes, returns and price differences
- Code any overhead and non stock invoices
- Processing monthly BACS payments
- Maintain and tidy ledgers when required
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Manage and resolve invoice queries
- Credit card processing and reconciliation when required
- Any ad-hoc duties required by finance manager
The key skills / knowledge / experience required:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Previous experience within a busy finance department
- Previous experience in a similar role (Accounts Payable)
- IT literate
- Previous experience with ERP systems
