An exciting new opportunity has just become available for one of our clients based in Portlethen. This is a rare opportunity and will not be around for long. Our client is a forward-thinking and dynamic organisation who are looking for like minded individuals to come join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation who are paving the way in their specialist field. As a Finance Manager you will be a key point of contact for any finance queries, you will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth running or the finance department. As the finance manager you will ensure training and mentoring is given to junior members of the finance team.

The key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts including balance sheet and P & L
  • Prepare statutory accounts
  • Monthly payroll
  • Daily and weekly cashflow
  • balance sheet reconciliation
  • Cost of sales analysis
  • Prepare VAT returns for the company
  • Manage Credit control
  • Review expenses, staff and supplier
  • Monthly journal entries, accrual and prepayments
  • Manage invoicing (sales, supplier)
  • Employee wages, statutory requirements and all other payments
  • Manage daily banking duties
  • Cash allocation
  • Monitor PAYE records and pension schemes

The key skills/ knowledge and experience required:

  • Previous experience within a similar position
  • Sage 50 (Payroll) experience essential
  • Xero software knowledge
  • Robust accountancy experience
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
