An exciting opportunity for an Experienced Financial Controller to join the fastest growing business in the Oil & Fuel industry in Scotland.
The client also have a fast-growing fuel card division for drawing out their network of sites across the country. Their fuel cards offices opened recently and our teams market a wide range of fleet management tools alongside fuel cards such as telematics, insurance, and telecoms.
This role will fully focus on our fuel card division with responsibilities as below.
Key Result Areas:
- Working closely with the Finance Director to ensure department targets are achieved
- Responsible for completion and submission of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow for the fuel card division
- Work with the operations team to develop financial reporting to add value to the business, providing analysis and commercial insight
- Monitoring fuel card division cashflow on daily basis
- Liaise with auditors and advisors regarding year end audit process and financial accounts preparation
- Maintaining process workflows, procedures, and management information for fuel cards division
- Ensure compliance with financial controls
- Assist in management and maintenance of the company’s ERP and finance systems
Required Skills and Experience:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA)
- Excellent MS Office skills, in particular MS Excel with an aptitude for data analysis.
- Adaptable, personable, and an excellent communicator both written and verbally
- Able to cope with peak workloads when required
- Strong work ethic and maintain high standards
- Demonstrating experience in accounting systems and general accounting.
- Particular knowledge of the P2P process
- Self-starter with the ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £55,000.00 per year
