I am currently working on an exciting opportunity with an international client in Aberdeen. They are leaders in providing innovative treatment solutions to clients in multiple sectors across the globe. Currently looking for a Management Accountant to assist the Group Financial Controller with financial reporting during their upcoming and exciting growth plans.

With aspirations to double their turnover and expand into Europe and the Middle East this year, the role promises to be dynamic & varied with no two days the same. You will be involved in all aspects of the finance functions within the company, including:

  • Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents.
  • Supporting GFC with updating trading and cash flow forecasts
  • Helping to design and maintain a suite of KPI’s on each business segment for monthly reporting pack.
  • Ensuring that various profit centres are costing accurately to support pricing strategy and decisions.
  • Measuring the company’s financial performance based on financial records.
  • Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management.
  • Performing audits of departments within the organisation.
  • Overseeing other aspects of financial operations such as bookkeeping and payroll.
  • Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed.
  • Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers.
  • Manage and maintain cash forecast.
  • Liaise with BS/Regions for weekly updates to Sales forecast.
  • Reconcile and complete OSSO asset/capital sale build workshop jobs.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations including GRNI & Stock.
  • Quarterly VAT Return reconciliation & submission.
  • Verify and approve supplier payments.
  • Check Sales Invoices prior to submission by Accounts Assistant.
  • Weekly credit control.
  • Preparation and collation of information required for partners payroll (monthly) and Norwegian Tax (adhoc)
  • Prepare year end accounting information for Auditors.
  • Prepare and compile budget data for the various departments.
  • Any other duties as requested by the group financial controller.
  • Attend meetings/training as required to ensure awareness and compliance of OSSO Quality Management System, Health and Safety management System and company objectives.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in a similar role as well as the following essential / desirable skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Able to prove exposure to a wide-range of duties and tasks – a Jack of All Trades.
  • A hunger to learn and develop your career.
  • Qualified, Part-Qualified or QBE with strong proof of experience – full study support offered.
  • Manage your own workload.
  • BE prepared to ‘get stuck in’ and learn different area of a growing business.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with an SME during rapid growth stage
  • Experience in Manufacturing or Oil & Gas Industries
  • Fully Qualified (ACCA / CIMA)

Location: Hybrid, up to 2 days per week at home

Salary: up to £65,000 DOE (Qualified / PQ/ QBE)
