One of our clients based in Aberdeen is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to come join them on a full-time permanent position. They are looking for an individual who is a quick learner and has the ability to grow within the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a “can do” attitude, work well within a team and enhance their finance department with additional knowledge and skills. If you are looking for a new challenge within a finance setting this could be the position for you.
The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure all Purchase Orders and invoices are checked and correct
- Preparation of sales invoices
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Prepare payment runs
- Timesheet input on a weekly basis
- Monthly reconciliation of petty cash
- Reconciliation of bank statements
- Participate in yearly audits / analysis and reconciliations
- Assist with yearend requirements
- Employee expenses
- Credit control
- General admin duties within the finance department
The skills/ knowledge / qualifications required
- Recognised Accounting qualification preferred but not essential
- Extensive knowledge of accounting procedures
- Exposure of accounts to trial balance / P&L stage
- IT Literate
- Previous experience within a similar role / environment
- Oil & Gas exposure
