An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced finance professional to come join one of our long-standing clients as an Accounts Assistant. This is a great opportunity to join a forwarding thinking organisation so are continuously looking for ways to ensure they keep up with market trends. Based in Bridge of Don, this opportunity would ideally suit a finance professional looking to enhance their skills and knowledge within the energy sector.

As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the operations team within our clients business. Within this you will become a key finance contact for multiple functions across the organisation and you will liaise with all departments to ensure the smooth running of finance.

 

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensure all invoices are matched, coded and ready for approval
  2. Reconciliation of purchase ledger accounts, ensure all discrepancies are queried and resolved
  3. Ensure payment runs are made accurately and on time
  4. Assist with credit control
  5. Submit payments for expense claims
  6. Ensure all stock taking and stock movement is kept up to date and accurate
  7. Monitor vendor & customer data lists – update where appropriate
  8. Any adhoc duties when required – project and non-project related
  9. Comply with our clients HSEQ policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

 

The key skills / knowledge / experience required:

  1. AAT or part-qualified with relevant experience
  2. Sage 200 software experience
  3. Previous experience within a busy organisation with multiple functions including logistics
  4. Excellent organisational and communication skills
  5. Attention to detail
  6. Previous experience within the energy sector
  7. The ability to work in a team and under own initiative
