One of our clients based in Edinburgh are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to come join them on a full-time permanent basis. Our client has over 50 years of experience within their sector and over this time have become a leading organisation. As an Accounts Assistant you will be a positive self-starter who can contribute to my client’s overall business growth.


The key responsibilities include:

  1. Review and process all fund transactions daily
  2. Daily banking, ensuring this is lodged with the bank
  3. Daily, monthly and weekly reconciliations
  4. Quarterly reconciliations where necessary
  5. Ensure all compliance is completed
  6. Review ledgers
  7. Daily balancing reports
  8. Invoices
  9. Process expense claim submissions
  10. Maintain nominal ledgers by posting of cash and bank transactions
  11. Credit control
  12. Preparing recovery / credit entries
  13. Proving all purchase ledger service from invoice to payment


The key skills/knowledge/ experience required:

  1. Previous experience in a busy professional firm
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an established finance department
  3. A positive ‘can do’ attitude
  4. Excellent communication and organisational skills
  5. IT Literate
