One of our returning clients is looking for a Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer to join their growing organisation. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background, for example an engineer looking to progress into sales/ business development. The reason behind this is because the role is quite technical and requires a lot of understanding regarding the clients products. Are you and Engineer looking to go into a more customer facing role, then this could be the position for you. This particular position would suit a candidate who has some experience within sales but are looking to grow their career.


The key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Negotiate prices for bids and proposals
  2. Generate new leads and identify customer needs/ market trends
  3. Manage the proposal response process including content creation and request for proposal requirements
  4. Keeping up to date with new company products
  5. Liaising with production teams regarding issues and effective solutions
  6. Assist with bids and tenders for new clients from a technical stand point
  7. Provide some production education and presale technical assistance
  8. Arrange and carry out product training


The skills / experience required:

  1. Proven track record of BRB sales
  2. Proven track record of good negotiation skills
  3. Excellent communication skills
  4. Proficient in data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
