One of our returning clients is looking for a Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer to join their growing organisation. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background, for example an engineer looking to progress into sales/ business development. The reason behind this is because the role is quite technical and requires a lot of understanding regarding the clients products. Are you and Engineer looking to go into a more customer facing role, then this could be the position for you. This particular position would suit a candidate who has some experience within sales but are looking to grow their career.
The key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Negotiate prices for bids and proposals
- Generate new leads and identify customer needs/ market trends
- Manage the proposal response process including content creation and request for proposal requirements
- Keeping up to date with new company products
- Liaising with production teams regarding issues and effective solutions
- Assist with bids and tenders for new clients from a technical stand point
- Provide some production education and presale technical assistance
- Arrange and carry out product training
The skills / experience required:
- Proven track record of BRB sales
- Proven track record of good negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
