We are looking for a CNC Machinist to work within our clients’ fast paced and innovative workshop based in Banchory, Aberdeenshire. This is a young company with a full order book who have seen their turnover increase from £80k in their first year to over £1 million this year. They are expanding and have taken on a second premises to extend their workshop further, leading to more opportunities for talented machinists to join their team and progress their career within their company. Key Activities:

  1. Producing machined parts in line with provided Work Order, drawings, and other specifications
  2. Interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances from drawings
  3. Operation of CNC machines under supervision of the Cell Leader
  4. Assist the Cell Leader to efficiently setup and programme CNC machines
  5. Quality control verification of the machining process
  6. Quality inspection of parts during machining process
  7. Maintaining traceability of machined components, as required by company’s processes
  8. Completing and maintaining quality documentation, as required by company’s processes,

 

Essential Requirements:

  1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in CNC machining on Mazatrol, Hurco or Fanuc operating systems
  2. Competent at reading and interpreting drawings and technical specifications
  3. Confident in use of quality control measuring equipment
  4. High work ethics, positive attitude, and strong drive to achieve best quality results
  5. Attention to detail and ability to maintain focus under pressure of a high workload, tight deadlines and changing job priorities. Good communication and team working skills.
