Engineers should have relevant software/hardware engineering background, and a proven track record of systems design and implementation based around some of the following:

  1. SCADA packages (Citect, Intouch, VTSCADA)
  2. PLC’s (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider)
  3. Industrial networks (Modbus TCP, Ethernet-IP, DNP3, IEC61850)
  4. Microsoft Development Packages (Microsoft Office, SQL)
  5. Electrical Design Packages (AutoCAD etc.)
  6. Engineering project documentation
  7. Cradle to Grave engineering
  8. Commercial acumen


Ideal candidates will be:

  1. Qualified to HND/degree level or can demonstrate a high level of coding experience in system development.
  2. Comfortable working in all aspects found within a control system project lifecycle
  3. Strong communicator with excellent organisational skills.
  4. Willing to work away from home for short periods.


Key responsibilities:

  1. Site commissioning, ad hoc servicing and repair
  2. Instrumentation setup, calibration
  3. Undertake site survey visits to support sales activities
  4. Ensure successful delivery within budget of assigned activities
  5. Provide quality assurance and peer review for projects and service activities.
  6. Assist with internal testing/ factory acceptance testing on computer systems
  7. Ensure that quality records are generated and maintained
  8. Be prepared to mobilise at short notice to support service requirements


Technical Skill Set:

  1. Auto Cad
  2. SCADA – Knowledge of SCADA system development.
  3. PLC – Confidence in IEC(phone number removed) programming languages
  4. Knowledge of HMI development
  5. Controls instrumentation, i.e. setting up pressure transmitters, level transmitters, flow transmitters, etc.
  6. Computer systems engineering, i.e. Microsoft Access, SQL & SharePoint
  7. Systems integration
  8. Project Management
