Permanent Design Draughter Aberdeen

Job Role:

To produce 3D models, assembly and detail drawings of the company’s Product range. Develop Smart models and techniques including Parametrics, I-Logic and other advanced modelling techniques. Provide support for the production interfaces and support the engineering team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To produce general arrangement, production and detailed drawings and parts lists of company and client products from in house and client provided information.
2. To assist in the development of engineering design.
3. To produce information in the form of drawings and specifications which allows the contracts, projects and production departments to perform their functions efficiently.
4. To assist with the development of custom design software and techniques.
5. To contribute to the continuing effort to reduce costs.
6. To contribute to the maintenance of engineering data using data management software.
7. To produce information to safely meet client and in house deadlines and to advise early of any anticipated delays.
8. To ensure all relevant company procedures and policies are adhered to in the performance of the above duties.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications:

Required:

1. HNC or HND in a recognised mechanical engineering discipline.
2. Knowledge of 3D Modelling software including but not limiting too
3. Produce Detail Design Drawings
4. Tolerancing
5. Assemblies
6. Parametric Modelling

Desirable:

1. Knowledge of Autodesk Software (Inventor, AutoCAD)
2. Ability to assist in Project Management
3. GD&T knowledge and experience of application
4. Familiar with Draughting standards such as BS8888
5. Knowledge of Offshore environment

Experience:

Required:

1. 3 years’ draughting experience.

Desirable:

1. 5 years’+ draughting experience.
2. Knowledge of plastics, rubber and composite materials

Skills/Training:

Required:

1. Good communication skills
2. Ability to work in a team
3. Competence in MS Office Software
