This client designs niche and innovative products to tackle the challenges faced in a variety of industries. A predominate market of theirs is decommissioning where they offer bespoke solutions to their clients needs, giving a wealth of variety to the role. This role would suit an inventive and “out the box” thinker to help design the next generation of decommission technology.
This position could be well suited to individuals anywhere in between an enthusiastic Graduate, where the company would provide product training, to a fully skilled Electronic R&D Engineer.
The R&D Engineer will be dealing with the following:
- PCB design and evaluation for circuitry for lights and lighting products (accessories such as transformers) for industrial and hazardous areas (EX).
- Design work carried out with respect to EX standards such as intrinsic safety (phone number removed), increased safety (phone number removed) and encapsulation (phone number removed).
- Design work carried out with respect to BS standards and harmonised union directives.
- Design work carried out with respect to global civil aviation procedures (CAP) for lighting equipment.
- Product development of industrial and hazardous area lighting along with accessories.
- Working and liaising with third party notified bodies and test facilities.
- Development of Gerber files, certification drawings and procedural drawings working in with the production and operations team. Falling in line with the companies ISO 9001 and ISO 80079 management systems
