The key responsibilities include:

  1. Reconciliation of client accounts
  2. Financial accounts and tax returns
  3. Prepare year-end accounts
  4. Prepare both business and personal tax returns
  5. Provide analytical reviews of accounts and highlight any business improvement measures as well as tax savings
  6. Analyse client records
  7. Highlight any discrepancies within client records and rectify where necessary
  8. Maintain notes to ensure all records are up to date
  9. Provide support in other areas of the business when required


The key skills / knowledge / experience required:

  1. Degree / college level accounting qualification or relevant job experience
  2. Previous experience within a practise is essential
  3. Previous experience and knowledge of preparing financial accounts of an array of different clients
  4. Efficient in Sage, Xero, Freeagent, QuickBooks etc accounting software
  5. Excellent communication and organisational skills
