Job Role:

Global management of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards for the company, playing the key role in creating and maintaining a culture across the organisation to incident free status, developing and implementing HESQ strategy & campaigns, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements across the Group.

 

Key Duties:

  1. Senior source of expertise in quality, health, safety and environmental issues reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is providing leadership in the development of QHSE culture within the global business.
  2. Work with the Executive team and business leaders to manage internal and external audits, lead the generation of risk assessment, planning and risk mitigation and ensure that the business has valid measures in place to track compliance. Ensure this strategy is delivered through matrix responsibility for QHSE personnel within the various regions/business sectors globally.
  3. Provision of technical guidance, training, audit/inspections, reviewing and updating of QHSE documentation to enable the company to meet relevant standards.
  4. Implement strategy, including supporting policies and procedures, identify quality, health, safety and environmental improvement programs. Develop consistent good practices and standards.
  5. Manage the process of quality, health, safety and environmental performance data collection, its verification and analysis, preparing timely Group reports, as required. Design and implement a group wide audit and compliance programme.
  6. Effectively lead, coach and mentor QHSE team in relation to their roles and responsibilities. Define, lead and drive appropriate metrics, team working practices and approaches to drive synergy and efficiency across the business.
  7. Anticipate and respond to major developments in QHSE legislation and advise the Leadership Team and business leaders of opportunities and risks identified throughout the Group, and ensure appropriate strategies and plans are developed and executed to address these.
  8. Assess QHSE expertise and capability required to ensure compliance with relevant standards and requirements and advise Leadership team on critical actions to ensure necessary skills and capabilities are in place.
  9. Client Care – Identifies and meets client requirements and expectations, delivers strong performance to sustain effective client relationships.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Health and Safety Diploma or Degree in relevant subject.
  2. Professional Membership of recognised International Safety/Quality Management Society.
  3. Demonstrable experience of leading an QHSE business unit and implementing tangible changes in QHSE culture.
  4. Significant oil and gas industry experiences.
  5. Proven training, mentoring and coaching experiences.
