One of our long standing clients is looking for a Group Environmental Advisor to come join their growing organisation. They are going through a substantial period of growth and are looking to extend their business on a permanent basis.
The key responsibilities include:
- A key member for implementing and maintaining of ISO 14001
- Liaise with Environmental regularity bodies including SEPA, APHA
- Provide advice to operations on forthcoming legislation and its impact
- Establish and conduct risk-based site inspections
- Provide support and guidance with Environmental incidents and non-conformances
- Develop environmental targets based on reports
- Assist in supply chain appraisals / bid reviews
- Inputs to emergency response plans
- Monitor waste management performance, water and energy use and emissions and ensure all data is recorded and retained
- Ensure site water management s planned ahead of operations to prevent pollution
- Assist as a lead for investigations into environmental incidents, including near misses
- Participate in internal HSEQ audits and inspections
- Assist to implement and maintain certifications of OHSAS 18001
- Assist with monthly reviews and reports on the status of NCRs and action items
- Assist with the implementation of ISO9001
Skills and Experience Essential:
- Auditor ISO 14001
- Environmental science / Management Degree or equivalent
- IOSH Working safety
- Full or practitioner IEMA Membership or above
- Proven experience in environmental compliance
- Experience with PPC permits and leading changes
- Working within Oil and Gas industry
- Experience f Sustainability practices and their implementation
- Familiarisation within Energy Management Systems (ISO50001)
