Permanent Group Environmental Advisor Aberdeenshire

One of our long standing clients is looking for a Group Environmental Advisor to come join their growing organisation. They are going through a substantial period of growth and are looking to extend their business on a permanent basis.

 

The key responsibilities include:

  1. A key member for implementing and maintaining of ISO 14001
  2. Liaise with Environmental regularity bodies including SEPA, APHA
  3. Provide advice to operations on forthcoming legislation and its impact
  4. Establish and conduct risk-based site inspections
  5. Provide support and guidance with Environmental incidents and non-conformances
  6. Develop environmental targets based on reports
  7. Assist in supply chain appraisals / bid reviews
  8. Inputs to emergency response plans
  9. Monitor waste management performance, water and energy use and emissions and ensure all data is recorded and retained
  10. Ensure site water management s planned ahead of operations to prevent pollution
  11. Assist as a lead for investigations into environmental incidents, including near misses
  12. Participate in internal HSEQ audits and inspections
  13. Assist to implement and maintain certifications of OHSAS 18001
  14. Assist with monthly reviews and reports on the status of NCRs and action items
  15. Assist with the implementation of ISO9001

 

Skills and Experience Essential:

  1. Auditor ISO 14001
  2. Environmental science / Management Degree or equivalent
  3. IOSH Working safety
  4. Full or practitioner IEMA Membership or above
  5. Proven experience in environmental compliance
  6. Experience with PPC permits and leading changes
  7. Working within Oil and Gas industry
  8. Experience f Sustainability practices and their implementation
  9. Familiarisation within Energy Management Systems (ISO50001)
