An exciting opportunity has become available for an experience finance professional to come join one of our long-standing clients as a Management Accountant. This is a great opportunity to join a forwarding thinking organisation who are continuously looking for ways to ensure they keep up with market trends. Based in Bridge of Don, this opportunity would ideally suit a qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to enhance their skills and knowledge within the energy sector.
As a Management Accountant you will be supporting the operational side of our clients business. You will have responsibility of the General ledger and ensure all month end activities are completed to a high standard.
The key responsibilities include:
- Responsibility of General ledger and monthly trial balance
- Responsible for project reviews with Operational teams
- Review accounts payable, reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts and sub-ledger accounts
- Responsible for month-end reporting including full P&L & KPI reporting
- Maintain relationships with treasury accountant, invoicing teams and operational teams to ensure sales ledgers are accurate
- Payroll duties
- Quarterly VAT returns
- ONS Surveys preparation and submission
- Be a key point of contact for the finance team
- Any adhoc duties when required
- Comply with all HSEQ policies and procedures to ensure my client’s working environment is safe
The key skills / knowledge / experience required:
- ACCA or part-qualified with relevant experience
- Sage 200 software experience
- Previous experience within a busy organisation with multiple functions
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- The ability to work in a team and under own initiative
