Job role
We have an opportunity for a painter to join a specialist blasting/coating company in the Oil & Energy sector.
This is a role based in Forfar, so local candidates or those within a commutable distance are best suited.
Candidates must have experience in airless spraying and be able to apply all types of paint to a high standard of finish. Experience in shot blasting with the ability to read masking/paint drawings is also preferred.
Experience of Xylan and other specialist coatings would be advantageous but not essential.
Rate of pay is negotiable to individuals who are motivated, adaptable and have a willing attitude with a strong work ethic.
Coating Applicator’s Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with all paperwork relating to jobs, ensuring all is completed and handed back into office upon job completion
- Paint/Coat parts as per job pack instructions and complete all coating reports
- Act with the best intent of the company at all times, ensuring due skill and care is always followed and consider the interests of all employees at all times
- Deal with delivery drivers and ensuring delivery notes are all signed, dated and handed into the office
- Perform all masking/stencilling/touch up as per customer requirements
- Assist with all other ad-hoc workshop duties as required
- Ensure any low stock of consumables is reported to office
- Perform all labouring and general workshop duties
- Work closely with NACE Level 2 to ensure all jobs are completed as per coating procedure/job pack/client instruction
- Ensure workshop is kept clean, tidy, organised and generally safe at all times
