Our client is looking for a driven individual who is looking to kick-start their career within the finance sector. Our client is an independent accountancy firm with clients throughout Scotland and are currently going through a period of steady growth. As an independent firm, their staff are their best asset and therefore invest a lot of time and effort to ensure their staff are fully training to the highest of standards.
The key responsibilities include:
Payroll
Assist the payroll department with the following:
- Payroll processing for a range of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
- Drafting correspondence to HMRC / Clients
- Process CIS returns
- Communicate with clients through phone and email effectively
Tax
- Assist with all Tax requirements for clients
- Responsible for ensuring all taxable benefits are reported to HMRC
- Preparation and submission of annual PAYE settlement agreements to HMRC
- Responsible for payroll and income tax affairs
Bookkeeping
- Assist with general bookkeeping within the practise
Experience knowledge required:
- A keen attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Previous experience within accounts would be preferred however, training will provided
- Robust communication skills
