A new opportunity for a Planning Manager has recently become available to join an excellent, well-known Main Building Contractor near Stirling to provide planning support to the business and Project Management teams. With jobs valuing up to £20million they have gained an enviable reputation throughout Scotland and are continuing to win contracts amongst new build, infrastructure, roads and extension projects. Their desire to complete projects to the highest standard and achieving client satisfaction across the Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Sport sectors are key drivers of their success. They are looking for someone who possesses strong customer focus, analytical thinking, good team working skills and a drive and decisiveness to accomplish projects to the highest standards.



  1. Reporting to the Development & Bid Manager
  2. Analysis of tender information
  3. Preparation of tender programmes
  4. Labour resource and plant
  5. Assessing / evaluate construction methods and techniques
  6. Preparation of prelims
  7. Co-ordinate the distribution of programmes
  8. Developing, maintain and manage all programmes and other time related and production control deliverables
  9. Prepare scaffold schedules
  10. Question the project to ensure delivery is in line with all company and project targets.
  11. Liaising with sub-contractor supply chain
  12. Formulating and developing alternative proposals, including potential Value engineering options
  13. Participate in post tender interviews and negotiations
  14. Presenting programmes to Senior Management for final review



  1. Knowledge of Asta Power Project planning software
  2. Experience working on bids
  3. Main Contractor experience or related sub-contractor experience
