An attractive opportunity for a Pre-Construction Manager is available with a well-renowned Main Building Contractor based in Aberdeen who are continuously winning new contracts. Operating across many sectors including Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Education and Health Care to name a few, they are looking for an experienced or developing individual who can adapt to a busy but rewarding environment where staff are truly valued.
This opportunity comes at a time where the business is looking to expand and evolve. The role will see you co-ordinate pre-construction information between Construction and Civils Divisions Operations and Estimating teams, undertake tender design reviews and convert tender programmes into Construction/ Contract target programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Have a complete understanding of the tender information.
- Chair meetings with Operations and Estimating Teams to ensure all matters are recorded.
- Tender Design Reviews.
- Review potential for Value Engineering the tender design and prepare proposals.
- Review buildability of tender proposals and provide alternatives for efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Co-ordination of detailed Prelims book.
- Visit sites and provide feedback to the team.
- Liaise with Construction & Civils Operations teams to agree programme parameters.
- Liaise with sub-contractors to develop detailed programmes.
- Provide programme training and support to the wider team.
Salary:
- £55-65K
