One of our clients based in Aberdeenshire is looking for a Production Planner to come join them on a permanent full-time basis. They require an individual who has a sound working knowledge of the planning processes within a manufacturing setting. Are you actively looking to enhance your skills/knowledge? The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan and prepare production schedules for assembly product lines based on customer demand
- Produce a master /discipline schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet client forecasted master schedule
- Analyse production specifications and construction data
- Plan sequence of assembly and machining whilst using departmental Capacity planning tools
- Expedite operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
- Prepare production reports
- Review, monitor and manage new product introductions to ensure that the supply chain can support all requirements
- Present key information to sales weekly management production meeting
- Update sales, on sales order deliveries
- Delegate to produce project packets, shop packets, pick lists, production schedules
- Ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are properly maintained
Qualifications/ Skills / Knowledge required:
- Oracle (ERP) systems experience
- Planning software experience essential
- CIPS or CPIM certification
- Sound knowledge of planning manufacturing activities within assembly, machining and inspection techniques
- Use of MRP system
- SAGE (ERP) systems
- Knowledge and experience of interpreting engineering documents
