Permanent Project Engineer Aberdeen

Due to the continued growth of our client they currently has an exciting opportunity for a focussed and committed Project Engineer to join their team.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for delivering assigned maintenance / site implementation within a defined scope of work from the Project Lead. The role is positioned within the asset maintenance and engineering business unit of the company.

Key Requirements:

1. Supports and on occasion facilitates kick-off meetings on successful awards with the relevant project team members.
2. Supports and on occasion manages projects including scope of work, client interface and expectations, budget, timelines, contract and deliverables.
3. Preparation / review of calculations and work procedures.
4. Technical specification of job materials and submission of purchase requisitions.
5. Create review and approval of the company’s Risk Assessments and their implementation.
6. Manage the dispatch of materials, equipment, and personnel to site.
7. Effective close out of projects, reporting and clearing of backloaded materials.
8. Supplies technical solutions and creates work procedures.
9. Performs cost monitoring and control of allocated project, producing both internal and client project progress reports.
10. Co-ordination and management of the dispatch of materials from supplier / to site where required.
11. Promote safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.
12. Ensure all personnel supporting project work scopes (Office based and field) work in line with safety processes and risk assessments.

Who we are looking for:

1. Good knowledge of Engineering standards, procedures, and work practices.
2. Proven track record in project environment or maintenance environment.
3. Background in an engineering discipline, Hydraulic, mechanical, or Electrical.
4. Experience delivering maintenance in an offshore / remote environment.
5. Ability to work within a team and work across departments to achieve a common goal.
6. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask.
7. Demonstrated proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office applications, and database use and management.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
9. Skill and experience with small to medium scale projects.
10. HNC / HND / degree level is preferred.
11. Experience in project management and project engineering within an Oil and Gas or Engineering Service company is required.
12. Experience with project cost control, cost controlling and a track record of delivering projects on-time and on-budget.
