An excellent opportunity for a Setting out/ Site Engineer has become available in Glasgow to join a Civil Engineering and Groundworks Contractor. Initially works will be carried out on a social housing site with the view progressing to working on more than 2 of their sites which will involve setting out, surveys and measurements. They actively searching for someone with a drive to achieve, hardworking and someone who is hands-on who can work well on busy sites.
Responsibilities:
- Setting out, levelling and surveying a construction site.
- Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
- Working with site plans, drawings and building information models.
- Mapping structural boundaries on the ground using pegs and markers.
- Liaising with designers and engineers to ensure plans and drawings are accurate.
- Overseeing quality control.
- Monitoring health and safety.
- Resolving technical problems.
- Working in an office and on a construction site.
Must: Have previous experience in a similar role
Salary: £45K
