The key responsibilities include:
- Maintain environmental and legal compliance register
- Ensure knowledge of environmental legislation for the business is kept up to date
- Maintain and continuously improve sustainability & waste initiatives
- Liaise with external parties on environmental issues / matters
- Maintain ISO 14001:2015, & ISO50001:2018 certification
- Support different departments within the business to ensure sustainability goals are set
- Participate in business Emergency response requirements
- Provide guidance, monitoring and support with regards to environmental &sustainability matters
The key skills / knowledge & qualifications include:
- NEBOSH (NGC) and working towards NEBOSH diploma in Environment or equivalent
- Auditing qualification
- COSHH Assessor
- Incident investigation training & experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent team player
- Experience within an HSSEQ role
- Significant experience, understanding and interpretation of UK environmental legislation
