One of our clients in Aberdeen is looking for an experienced Training and Competency Advisor to come join their organisation on a full-time & permanent basis. You will have a good understanding of the training function and have the drive to ensure all employees are competent in their field. Our client is looking for an individual who can work closely with management and provide employees with the tools they need to drive the business to ensure objectives are met.


The key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Facilitate training sessions which relate to the HR systems
  2. Review and analyse training and competency data
  3. Audit client information requests when required
  4. Provide a good understanding of the training cycle
  5. Ensure all training needs are identified through continuous monitoring
  6. Ensure your own knowledge and practises are kept up to date in line with industry developments
  7. Liaise with department heads to highlight training needs and budget for the forthcoming year
  8. Responsible for all administration related to training is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  9. Ad hoc duties when required


The essential skills/qualifications/knowledge needed:

  1. CIPD qualification in Learning and Development
  2. Excellent understanding of the training and competency function and what it is expected to deliver
  3. IT literate, especially with Microsoft office packages
  4. Flexible working approach to the business and its growing departments
  5. Forward thinking and passionate about providing excellent training tools
