Permanent Workshop & Site Fitter Aberdeen

We are currently looking for a Workshop & Site Fitter based in Dyce, Aberdeen. Pump experience is essential, and the salary banding is £28-30k for 39-hour week Mon-Fri. Overtime may be available.

Job Purpose:

1. Stripping, cleaning and identifying repairs required on customer pumps
2. Repairing and testing of above pumping equipment
3. General workshop duties including drilling, tapping and basic bench fitting
4. Assisting the Workshop Supervisor with ad hoc duties as and when needed

Principle Accountabilities:

1. To strip & report on faults on customer pumps
2. To recommend necessary repairs, to identify all parts required to complete the repair, in order for a quote to be prepared
3. To carry out required repairs when authorised
4. To complete timesheets to enable time worked to be allocated to specific jobs correctly
5. To attend sites where necessary to carry out pump repairs
6. Work to the instructions of the Workshop Supervisor
7. Comply with Health and Safety regulations at base and on site. Seek guidance where necessary
8. Any other relevant & reasonable duties that may be requested by the Workshop Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Necessary:

1. Experienced mechanical fitter
2. Pump knowledge desirable
3. Full clean driving licence
