Project Engineer – Aberdeen S.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member within the Engineering Team within a forward thinking and creative business.  Project Engineers will play a key role in managing the commercial and technical execution of projects, using professional expertise and experience in budget, schedule and technical delivery. You will make a valuable contribution towards a wide variety of interesting projects spanning the full breadth of the clients portfolio.

The Engineers are engaged with ownership at all stages from concept development through to in-house delivery supported by an experienced team. Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Anticipate, manage, resolve issues and act as point of contact for projects.
  • Report to and meet with clients and interested parties.
  • Produce engineering proposals, reports, ITTs and schedules as required by clients.
  • Prepare cost reports and revenue forecasting for projects.
  • Use best practice risk management.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced members of the team.
  • Act as an engineering resource on projects as required.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills / experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in naval architecture / mechanical / structural Engineering, marine engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering engineering projects
  • A valid driving license
  • Knowledge of industry software and relevant engineering tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Optimistic and positive attitude
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
  • Innovative and creative thinker but still upholds traditional values of our trade
  • Team Player and not afraid to get stuck in
  • Able to work collaboratively.
  • Adaptable and reacts well to challenges that present themselves
