QA/QC Coordinator- South Aberdeen

Currently looking for an QA/QC Coordinator to join their ranks and primarily support the compliance department.

 

The Role

 

The job entails providing admin support to the QHSE function and wider business.

The job holder is expected to apply the company core values and comply with the business HSE management system policies, procedures and supporting risk assessments and business applications, reporting any issues to line management. Must be able to communicate and collaborate at all levels across the business. It is also expected that the person demonstrates an enthusiastic approach to resolving problems and developing good working relationships.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

 

General Duties

 

  • Promote the business core values.
  • Contribute to the delivery of company and QHSE objectives.
  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication to ensure objectives are met and develop good working relationships.
  • Use and comply with the company systems, processes, and tools. Challenge and improve these systems, processes, and tools.

  • Provide general administrative support.

 

Specific Quality Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Review weekly and final production registers, liaise with the relevant Production Managers/Supervisors to resolve queries or anomalies to ensure effective product traceability.
  • Liaise with Projects and Document Control team to ensure the timely and accurate compilation of Manufacturing Data Books and Production Process records as per agreed customer/project requirements.
  • Review incoming material certification, and file all approved documentation and certification.
  • Report and expedite missing, incomplete, or incorrect documentation and certification. Ensure Dispositions are raised as required.
  • Maintain a calibration register of monitoring and measurement equipment used to verify conformance to specified requirements.
  • Liaise with the department Managers/Supervisors to ensure monitoring and measurement equipment is maintained, and any new items are added to the calibration register and obsolete items are withdrawn.
  • Liaise with the department Managers/Supervisors to provide reports of monitoring and measurement equipment pending calibration.
  • Create purchase order requisitions for the calibration and where appropriate repair or rework of monitoring and measurement equipment and liaise with department Managers/Supervisors to approve repairs.
  • Verify all certificates of calibration, and update within the calibration management system, ensuring changes are communicated effectively.
  • Ensure Dispositions are raised for any incomplete, or incorrect internal and externally provided certificates of calibration.
  • Conduct periodic sampling of status of calibrated monitoring and measurement equipment. Liaise with Responsible Persons as required.
  • Participate in internal and external management system audits as required.
  • Liaise with Reception or Stores to collect and distribute QHSE mail or small packages.
  • Create purchase order requisitions for the QHSE department as required e.g., department PPE, stationary, signage or first aid provisions.
  • Provide general admin support to the QHSE team as required.

 

Experience

 

Required:

  • Relevant previous experience within a manufacturing organisation.
  • Understanding of material identification and traceability.
  • Document administration and use of document management systems.
  • Data inputting/ data handling.

 

Desirable:

  • Related management systems models or standards.
  • UK health and safety legislative requirements.
  • Experience of internal and external audit.
  • Understanding of calibration requirements e.g., UKAS.
  • Experience and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management standard.

 

Skills

 

Required:

  • Proficient in the use of the latest version of Microsoft Office.
  • IT skilled with data input / handling experience and working with databases.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Pleasant and articulate manner.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Organised, analytical, and systematic with an enthusiastic approach to problem solving.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
  • Prioritise and delegate workloads.

Qualifications & Training

 

Required:

  • None

 

Desirable:

  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL Core).
  • Qualification in quality management. e.g., CQI Certificate.
  • ISO9001:2015 Internal Auditor training.

 

Salary
