A new and exciting role has become available with one of our long standing clients. KBM are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to come join their client on a full-time, permanent basis. This would ideally suit someone early on in their career and has the drive to grow with thier clients business. Due to continuous project wins and increasing work loads we are looking for a Quantity surveyor who has experience of pricing from both BOQ and other forms. This is a versatile position which will enable you to join a forward thinking and growing organisation.
Our client has an extensive portfolio which includes Commercial and Industrial buildings. You will be joining a commercial team which have an excellent reputation for delivering projects on time and within budget. Their customers include some of Scotland’s most well-renowned businesses.
The key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the wider commercial team with pricing
- Administrative duties related to pricing
- Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with external stakeholders
- Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts
- Assist the Commercial Manager with monthly reports which include, cost and value comparisons, turnover forecasts etc.
- Produce bill of quantity / activity schedule for payments
- Process and produce formal subcontractor documents which include interim, final payments and final subcontract accounts
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- You will be a proactive individual with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- An excellent team player but also have the initiative to work independently
- Must have the ability to build strong working relationships with existing and new clients.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
