Based North of Aberdeen this client is a global choice for energy logistics. They are currently looking to bring a Senior Logistics Coordinator onboard.
The Role
Supervision of the company’s forwarding activities with direct responsibility for operational service standards. Following company processes and procedures and ensuring that these are adhered to by all in their department.
Main Responsibilities
- Take on active role in day-to-day operations, maintaining your own expertise, market knowledge, and ability to support operations team members.
- Ensue that the branch management is kept advised of, and complies with, all appropriate legislation and regulations governing the movement of goods.
- Ensure that the operations team maintains a high standard of professional and technical knowledge by identifying and recommending appropriate training.
- Ensure that the physical resources, and systems, necessary to the effective management of the forwarding activity are of an appropriate standard.
- Take an active role in developing the company’s relationships with its customers and key suppliers.
- Maintain and promote team awareness of market developments, particularly in regards to key suppliers, changing regulation, and in changes to commercial risk.
- Ensure that members of the operations team play an effective part in the general management and administration of the department.
- Ensure that members of the operations team comply with the company trading standards and conditions, including agreed accounting and credit control processes.
- Take appropriate action on any health & safety issues reported to you and with due regard to the urgency and risk presented.
- Comply with all company policies.
Requirements
- Looking for a candidate with strong customs experience dealing with airlines and shipping lanes and ability to lead a team.
