Technical Operations Coordinator- Aberdeen
The Role
The Technical Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of technical and operational activities across projects.
The role acts as a central link between Engineering, Operations, Workshop, and offshore teams, ensuring documentation, systems, and communications are accurate, controlled, and aligned with project and operational requirements.
This position plays a key role in enabling safe, efficient, and compliant execution of work scopes by proactively managing information flow, technical documentation, operational readiness, and cross‑department coordination.
Responsibilities
Technical & Project Coordination
- Coordinate project kick-off activities, including agendas, action tracking, and follow-up.
- Coordinate preparation, review, and revision control of technical documentation such as drawings, rig surveys, equipment lists, load-out information, and job packs.
- Perform initial technical checks of drawings and documentation prior to engineering or managerial review.
- Gather, consolidate, and validate technical and operational inputs from Engineering, Operations, Workshop, and customers.
- Support Technical Support Coordinator and Technology Manager with SolidWorks, CAD, and Pipe Flow activities as required.
- Attend customer meetings, HAZOPs, and HAZIDs to capture actions and support technical alignment.
- Proactively identify and recommend process, system, and operational improvements across the business.
Documentation & Systems Management
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation within SharePoint and QMS systems.
- Coordinate preparation, control, and issuing of Design of Service documents and job packs.
- Maintain and update equipment certification and compliance records.
- Ensure project trackers, daily updates, and QMS documentation are completed, controlled, and auditable.
Operations & Logistics Support
- Coordinate operational and workshop documentation for pre-job and post-job execution.
- Support Operations with planning, logistics coordination, and departmental administration.
- Raise and track purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Prepare and coordinate load-out manifests and logistics documentation.
- Attend operations meetings, record actions, and drive timely close-out.
- Coordinate offshore/onshore rig surveys when required.
- Participate in the on-call rota as required.
Communication & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a key point of contact for routine technical and operational queries.
- Coordinate communication between Operations, Engineering, Workshop, and offshore personnel.
- Track actions, risks, and deliverables to ensure timely resolution and execution.
- Support clear and consistent communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in a technical or operational coordination role within the oil and gas industry is essential.
- Experience with SolidWorks and CAD systems is advantageous.
- Experience with Pipe Flow software is advantageous.
- Strong IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management systems.
- Full driving licence is essential.

Salary- circa £35K
Full-time and permanent (office-based)
Works hours- 8am till 4pm (37.5 hours)
